The CookBook :: How to make delicious "Sambhar"

This is how I experimented and learnt to cook Sambhar and this method works out perfectly fine. I do not wish to patent this, since I do not plan to re-invent the wheel.
Procedure can be altered to fit the user requirements. This is just the source code.

Ingredients:
Toor Dhall 1 Cup
Green Chilles 3
Methi 1/4 t.spoon
Sambhar powder 1 t.spoon or as required
Red chilli powder
Curry leaves
Asafoetida a small pinch
Salt 1 t.spoon or to taste
Cooking Oil 2 t.spoons
Mustard 1/2 t.spoon
Turmeric 1/4 t.spoon
Tamarind paste 2 t.spoons
Vegetables: Onion/Drumstick/Green Pepper/Eggplant/Okra Washed and diced

Procedure:

Cook Toor dhall with extra water (dhall:water::1:2/2.5) and keep it aside.
Cook the vegetables separately. Depending on the vegetable, the cooking time varies.
Add the cooked vegetables to the cooked dhall. Add tamarind paste.
Keep in simmer after it starts boiling.
Add turmeric powder, sambhar powder, salt, asafoetida and red chilli powder (only if required).
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Heat some oil in a pan, splutter mustard, split urad dhall, then add methi, red
chillies, green chillies, curry leaves and keep frying for a few minutes. Add this to
the boiling potion.
Fry a few finely chopped small onions and garnish for that unbelievable aroma!
Sambhar is ready for serving.

Dr.Palani tried your protocol and reports it as bogus. Acc. to his reports the end product of this method is some kind of brownish salt water which cows relish.

As I told earlier, this is just the source code. The end product depends on the developers' skills. If Dr Palani screws up somewhere and blames the protocol, then I am not to be blame.

Dr.Palani has nothing to prove to anyone. He has been a well known connoisseur in cooking for atleast the last three months! He and screwing up in kitchen? No never.
Lol...machi venky all who know palani know how the sambhar turned into brown water...your source code is absolutely fine. And to tell you the truth Palani did not try making although he had intentions of doing it. I was just trying to simulate what would have happened had he gone ahead.

After hours of ground breaking research into the art of cooking...Dr Palani says that his roomie disturbing him by talking to the alarm at 6 in the morning is the sole reason for his screwed up cooking.. It just shatters his concentration. Get Dr Achuth to get his arse out of bed without disturbing his charming roommate..and all will turn out well.
